Software Developer - CAD/PLM Systems

As a Software Development professional in the 3D Design Automation (PD DAT) team at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining innovative software applications for product selection and automation. Your responsibilities will include understanding internal client requirements, translating them into software artifacts, and providing support to external clients. You will collaborate with a distributed team of domain experts skilled in engineering and engineering automation software development, following agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Extreme Programming for rapid development. Your impact will be significant as you develop, maintain, and optimize C# applications, including desktop applications and services. You will design and implement service endpoints to facilitate efficient communication between applications, ensuring high-quality code and troubleshooting any software issues that may arise. Documentation of software designs, development processes, and APIs will be a key aspect of your role, along with conducting peer code reviews to enhance design and implementation quality. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven experience. Proficiency in C# development, particularly with .NET 8+, and familiarity with service architectures (APIs, REST), desktop application development (WPF), and database systems (SQL) will be essential. Experience with CAD systems like Siemens NX and PLM systems such as Siemens Teamcenter, as well as project management tools like JIRA and version control systems like GIT, will be advantageous.
