Software Developer (AI Automation & SAP Business One Integration)

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Software Developer to design, build, and maintain AI-driven agents that automate administrative workflows and seamlessly integrate with SAP Business One. Youll work closely with our IT and operations teams to identify automation opportunities, architect AI solutions, and extend SAP B1’s capabilities via custom queries and APIs. Role & responsibilities AI Agent Development: Architect, develop, and deploy AI-powered bots/agents (e.g., leveraging GPT, Lang Chain, RAG frameworks) to automate repetitive admin tasks (e.g., report generation, vendor communications, invoice processing). Continuously evaluate and tune NLP models for accuracy and performance in business contexts. SAP Business One Integration: Design and implement integration layers between AI agents and SAP B1 (using DI API, Service Layer, B1if). Build and optimize SQL/HANA queries and stored procedures to read from and write to SAP B1 data tables. Solution Design & Documentation: Collaborate with business stakeholders to map requirements into technical specifications. Produce clear design documents, API specifications, and user guides for non-technical teams. Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop automated test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end) for both AI components and SAP B1 customizations. Perform code reviews, security assessments, and performance profiling. Maintenance & Support: Monitor production systems, troubleshoot integration failures, and apply patches or enhancements. Provide level-2 support for automated workflows and SAP B1 extensions. Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date on emerging AI/ML techniques, SAP B1 feature updates, and best practices in enterprise automation. Propose and prototype new automation scenarios to drive efficiency gains. Required Qualifications & Skills- Technical Skills: Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more of C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript. AI/ML Frameworks: Experience with large-language models (e.g., OpenAI API), LangChain, RAG, or similar toolkits. SAP B1 Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SAP Business One SDK, DI API or Service Layer. Ability to construct, optimize, and debug complex SQL queries against HANA or MS SQL databases. Integration: Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web services, and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka). DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and containerization (Docker). Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving aptitude with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate business needs into technical designs. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience & Attributes:- Prior exposure to ERP implementation projects, ideally SAP B1 roll-outs or upgrades. Hands-on with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and serverless compute for hosting AI services. Familiarity with UI-automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath) for hybrid automation scenarios. Knowledge of security best practices for data privacy and API management. Certification in SAP Business One (development or consulting track) or relevant AI/ML credentials.
