Software Delivery Specialist

As a core member of Periscope's technology team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex challenges and contribute to the development and deployment of core enterprise products. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that McKinsey's technology remains at the forefront of innovation. You will be actively involved in software development projects, spending a significant amount of time enhancing deployment pipelines, automation, and toolsets for cloud-based solutions on AWS, GCP, and Azure platforms. Your expertise will also extend to areas such as database management, Kubernetes cluster setup, monitoring, performance tuning, and continuous delivery. Your role will involve continuous learning and experimentation with new technologies, frameworks, and approaches. Additionally, you will be expected to have a strong grasp of agile engineering practices and provide guidance to teams on improving their engineering processes. Mentoring and coaching other DevOps engineers to enhance the organizational capability will also be a part of your responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to grow as a member of Periscope's technology team based in either Bangalore or Gurugram. In terms of qualifications and skills, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field. With 6+ years of experience in technology solutions, preferably working with microservice architectures and SaaS delivery models, you should have a strong background in working with leading Cloud Providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure. Proficiency in Linux systems, DevOps tools (such as Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes), and experience in supporting web front-end and data-intensive applications are essential. Your problem-solving skills in Python, along with experience in automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and debugging, will be crucial for the role. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment are key attributes for success in this position. Your exposure to modern monitoring, alerting, and logging tools will further enhance your ability to contribute to the development tasks and maintain system functionality.
