Social Media Marketing Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing social media content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube.
• Create engaging visuals, posts, posters, and stories using Canva (including brand-aligned formats).
• Develop short-form video content such as reels, promo clips, and animated posts for campaigns and storytelling.
• Support in uploading, listing, and showcasing products across various online platforms and marketplaces.
• Research trending topics, industry insights, hashtags, and audience interests to optimise content performance.
• Schedule and publish content according to the marketing calendar, ensuring consistency across platforms.
• Monitor social media presence and assist in responding to comments, messages, and customer inquiries.
• Track basic analytics such as engagement, reach, and clicks to help improve content quality and strategy.
• Collaborate with the team on campaign ideas, branding styles, product imagery, and promotional materials.
• Maintain organised folders for creative assets, drafts, and product media.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
• Hands-on experience with Canva or any basic design tool (poster/reel/post creation).
• Strong interest in branding, storytelling, visual communication, and digital marketing.
• Good written communication skills; ability to write concise, engaging captions.
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, take feedback, and meet deadlines.
• A creative eye with willingness to experiment with layouts, colours, fonts, and video formats..
