Role Overview

We are looking for a Social Media Manager & Content Creator to own and grow Lila's Instagram presence end-to-end. This role is ideal for someone who understands aesthetics, storytelling, and social media trends-and can translate them into calm, beautiful, and meaningful content aligned with Lila's brand voice.

You will be responsible for strategising, planning, shooting, editing, and publishing content, while ensuring consistency in tone, visual language, and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

• Plan and manage Lila's Instagram content calendar in alignment with brand, product launches, campaigns, and ongoing themes.
• Develop content ideas that balance inspiration, product storytelling, education, and brand-building.
• Stay updated on Instagram trends (formats, music, reels styles) and thoughtfully adapt them to Lila's calm and aesthetic tone.

Content Creation

• Shoot high-quality photos and videos for Instagram (Reels, posts, stories) - including products, styled spaces, lifestyle moments, and behind-the-scenes.
• Edit content to create strong storytelling narratives that feel warm, intentional, and design-led.
• Maintain visual consistency across all content in terms of colour palette, framing, mood, and pacing.

Production & Shoot Management

• Plan and execute content shoots-conceptualisation, shot lists, styling coordination, and timelines.
• Manage production requirements such as locations, props, basic styling, and coordination with parents, children, or collaborators when needed.
• Work closely with internal teams, founders, designers, and external collaborators for shoot execution.

Publishing & Execution

• Write captions aligned with Lila's brand voice-clear, calm, thoughtful, and emotionally resonant.
• Schedule and publish content on Instagram, ensuring timely and consistent posting.
• Ensure correct use of formats, hashtags, tags, and music.
• Deliver graphic and video requirements for the wider team as needed, including content for LinkedIn, events, performance marketing, presentations, and internal brand needs.

Performance & Iteration

• Track basic performance metrics (reach, engagement, saves) to understand what resonates.
• Continuously refine content strategy based on insights while staying true to the brand.

Required Skills & Experience

• 23 years of hands-on experience managing Instagram for a brand (preferably lifestyle, design, interiors, fashion, or parenting-related).
• Strong eye for aesthetics, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in shooting content on a phone and/or camera.
• Comfortable editing photos and videos using tools such as Canva, Adobe, Final Cut, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar.
• Solid understanding of Instagram formats, trends, and platform behaviour.
• Ability to balance trend-led content with a refined, minimal brand aesthetic.
• Strong organisational skills to manage calendars, shoots, and timelines.
