Social Media Manager & Content Creator

Role Overview:

We're looking for a driven, culturally rooted, and creatively sharp social media professional who can manage our digital presence end to end. If you live on Instagram Reels, track trends instinctively, understand Punjab's pulse, and enjoy turning ideas into engaging stories, this role is for you. You'll shape narratives, create content, coordinate with teams, and help amplify a movement built for Punjab's future.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation

• Ideate, script, and produce engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and WhatsApp.
• Create reels, videos, graphics, carousels, and storytelling features with depth and creativity.
• Write captions in Punjabi and English with cultural accuracy and emotional insight.
• Turn movement events, dialogues, youth stories, and on-ground activities into compelling digital narratives.

2. Being the Digital Face / Coordinator

• Be comfortable appearing in videos or coordinating youth ambassadors and creators to represent the movement visually.
• Work with volunteers, speakers, influencers, and community voices to create meaningful UGC.
• Plan and manage small shoots, field content, testimonials, and event coverage.

3. Social Media Management

• Own the social calendar daily posts, campaigns, trend-led ideas, and festival-based content.
• Track analytics, identify what works, and refine strategy for reach and impact.
• Build and nurture an online community through comments, DMs, and conversations.
• Ensure that every post reflects the ethos and message of Gall Punjab Di.

4. Membership & Subscriptions

• Manage sign-ups through social channels and website.
• Run communication flows: emails, WhatsApp updates, broadcast lists.
• Keep subscriber lists updated and ensure smooth onboarding.

5. Coordination & Teamwork

• Work closely with the core team, researchers, graphic designers, and field teams.
• Convert internal discussions, concept notes, and insights into public-facing content.
• Coordinate with videographers, editors, creators, and volunteers for shoots and campaigns.

6. Trends & Current Affairs

• Stay updated with Punjab's political, social, cultural, and youth-related issues.
• Track Instagram and YouTube trends and propose timely, creative ideas.
• Spot opportunities for viral content, community engagement, and storytelling campaigns.

Requirements:

• 23+ years in social media management, content creation, or digital storytelling.
• Strong command of Punjabi and English.
• Deep understanding of Punjab's culture, issues, values, and current affairs.
• Comfortable on camera or in directing creators who are.
• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe tools, CapCut, or similar apps.
• Strong coordination, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to ideate and execute content quickly without compromising quality.
• A positive, solutions-driven mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
