Role Overview :-


We are seeking a highly motivated

SOC Analyst (L1)

to join our Security Operations Center. The ideal candidate should have strong foundational cybersecurity skills, hands-on experience with multiple SIEM platforms, and the ability to perform first-level detection, triage, and analysis of security alerts. The role requires adaptability, strong analytical thinking, and a passion for continuous learning in a fast-paced security environment.

Key Responsibilities

:-

Alert Monitoring & Triage

Monitor, triage, and analyze security alerts generated from

SIEM, EDR/XDR, DLP, Firewall, and other security tools

.
Classify alerts based on severity, impact, and threat posture.
Escalate incidents to L2/L3 teams with complete and well-structured investigation notes.

Log Analysis & Investigation

Perform detailed log analysis across multiple sources (cloud, on-premise, endpoints, network devices).
Utilize SIEM dashboards, correlation rules, queries, and threat intel to validate security events.
Identify false positives, suspicious behavior, and early indicators of compromise.

SIEM Management

Work with

multiple SIEM solutions

(Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, Chronicle, etc.) to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
Write and modify SIEM queries using relevant query languages (e.g., SPL, KQL, AQL).
Assist in tuning SIEM alerts and rules based on findings.

Endpoint & Network Analysis

Perform basic investigation using

EDR/XDR platforms

(CrowdStrike, Cortex, Defender, etc.).
Understand host behavior, process trees, command-line executions, and malware indicators.
Analyze network activity related to

FW, WAF, IDS/IPS

, and identify suspicious traffic patterns.

Cloud Security Awareness

Analyze logs and events from

AWS, Azure, Salesforce

, and other cloud environments.
Understand cloud service logs (CloudTrail, Azure Activity Logs, Salesforce Event Monitoring, etc.) and identify abnormal patterns.
Apply cloud security best practices during alert triage.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed incident records in ticketing systems.
Document runbooks, playbooks, and triage steps for common alert types.
Provide shift-handover summaries and participate in regular SOC meetings.

Required Skills & Competencies

:-

Minimum 1 year of experience in Security Operations.
Proficiency in

log analysis, alert triage, SIEM monitoring, EDR/XDR tools

, and

threat hunting basics

.
Strong understanding of:
Network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, DHCP, SSH, etc.)
Network infrastructure & security devices (Firewall, WAF, IDS/IPS)
Operating Systems (Windows & Linux) and

Windows Event IDs

Cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Salesforce) and their log formats
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple alerts simultaneously.
Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including night shifts.

, or equivalent foundational certifications.

Additional Preferred Attributes

:-

Familiarity with

MITRE ATT & CK

framework and basic threat actor techniques.
Knowledge of phishing investigation and email header analysis.
Exposure to malware analysis fundamentals (not required but beneficial).
Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, etc.).
Basic understanding of SOAR workflows or automation.
