Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager in the SME_ICR_GCC department at Welspun, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. Your role will involve monitoring and analyzing accounting data to produce financial reports, enforcing proper accounting methods and principles, and ensuring financial accounting objectives are met. Proficiency in SAP module and computer skills will be essential for this position. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements. - Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. - Coordinate and complete annual audits. - Provide recommendations for improving systems and procedures, and initiate corrective actions. - Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close. - Collaborate with other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives. - Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met. - Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department. - Provide training to new and existing staff as needed. - Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc. - Support the Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance. - Proficiency in SAP module and computer skills. - Strong understanding of accounting methods, policies, and principles. - Experience in coordinating and completing annual audits. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
