Job Description

In the role of SME - Mechanical Design, based in Vadodara, Gujarat, you will lead the execution of mechanical design and development tasks within a project. Your responsibilities will include defining the scope of work, mentoring team members, and ensuring timely and quality execution. With at least 7 years of experience and a qualification in Mechanical Engineering, you will utilize your design skills and technical expertise to solve problems and meet project objectives. Key technical skills required for this role include practical experience in full new product development cycles, proficiency in developing engineering design concepts for components and electromechanical assemblies, and experience in various manufacturing processes such as Sheet Metal and Plastics Injection molding. Additionally, you should have knowledge of pressure die-casting processes, design tools, engineering analysis, and manufacturing of plastic and metal components for consumer electronic devices. A typical day in this role might involve mentoring mechanical engineers, incorporating regulatory standards in projects, leading new product development projects, and conducting design reviews with cross-functional teams. You will also be responsible for creating detailed specifications, design verification plans, and addressing field failure issues to ensure product safety and reliability.
