Responsibilities: Driving Projects independently from initial Vehicle Layout / concept preparation to final production readiness Passing all Gate Reviews and clearances with all stake holders Identifying and completing relevant benchmarking for the projects, setting weight and cost targets based on benchmark Basic Vehicle Calculations, fixing layout Hard Points, Modularization across different Variants Layouts, estimating project scheduling and making time plans. Specification preparation and finalization. Design Verification and Validation Planning, setting up vehicle level and component level test plans. Concept design preparation based on requirement and sharing with horizontal to complete detail design, layout checking and confirming it meets the targets and release in system. Technical/ Functional: Proven capabilities in area of Vehicle Engineering, Vehicle Dynamics, Chassis design, Plastics, starting from initial Vehicle Layout, all the way up to final production releases Deep Technical competency in understanding the 2wh design. Deep knowledge and Proven expertise in Frame design, Plastic component design, Design Verification & Validation Fair knowledge for CAE Calculations, DMU, DFMEA, DFA, DFS. Fair knowledge of complete vehicle sub systems including frame, trims, fuel system, engine mtg, wheel & brakes, electricals. Understanding & good working skills on CAD softwares like NX (preferred), catia, Creo and teamcenter. Good knowledge of MS office. Adequate knowledge of prevalent Indian and European Regulations

You should have a Bachelors degree (B.E./B. Tech) and a minimum of 8-10 years of demonstrated experience in cost analysis, procurement, or engineering in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Your expertise should include a deep understanding of manufacturing processes for sheet metal, plastic components, casting, and machined parts. Experience in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) processes is essential. Role & responsibilities Lead the design and development team of Sheet Metal, Casting and Plastic components, including 3D modeling, drawing creation, and BOM generation, aligned with budget, timeline, and project resource constraints. Responsible for 3D modelling, drawing creation, and BOM generation for mechanical components used in EV platforms, including enclosures, brackets, mounts, and thermal management parts. Drive engineering change management through established processes (ECR & ECN) and ensure timely design release. Apply advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes for Sheet Metal and Plastic parts, including DFM/DFA principles. Interpret and apply GD&T, perform tolerance stack-up analysis, and contribute to DFMEA to ensure design robustness and reliability. Independently execute tasks with minimal supervision while proactively identifying design risks and proposing solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, thermal, and systems engineers to ensure mechanical-electrical integration. Utilize PLM tools (Teamcenter preferred) for data management, version control, and release workflows. Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of issues during development, validation, or field operation. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in mechanical design for EVs, including lightweight materials, thermal systems, and modular design. Exposure to IP sealing, thermal interface design, EMC shielding, and high-voltage packaging will be an added advantage. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors or master’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent). 5 to 12 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably in product or component development. Strong experience with Creo for 3D CAD modelling and Teamcenter or similar PLM tools. Proven ability to generate and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications. Sound knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, and design validation methodologies. Familiarity with EV-specific requirements such as high-voltage component packaging, structural design for vibration/shock, and thermal management systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Role & responsibilities Job Description: Responsibility for creating tool strategy and purchasing/procurement of plastic injection, metal parts, and special parts. Manage procurement processes for tools, investments, materials, and services. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and tool suppliers on the implementation of tools and parts establishment. Oversee tools/asset investment and budget allocation at suppliers. Conduct tools/asset verification and support tool scrapping processes as needed. Based on tool specifications, send out RFQs to part suppliers and toolmakers; negotiate favorable terms with suppliers. Support the tool maker during tool construction, starting with a detailed DFM analysis. Lead the pre-release process at the tool supplier and the tool release process at the part supplier, with support from the factory. Manage the tool maker portfolio and conduct yearly performance evaluations of tool suppliers; prepare commercial agreements and develop a tool maintenance booklet to share with suppliers. Assist local tool managers in factory operations during tool usage. Identify savings opportunities and reduce costs through reliable, high-productive tools while minimizing time-to-market by implementing new technologies. Optimize processes and tool parameters at suppliers. Ensure a significant competitive advantage for BSH on a total cost of ownership basis for assigned material groups by implementing a common sourcing strategy and maintaining the supplier portfolio. Responsible for regional strategic purchasing of plastic parts and global strategic purchasing of resins (PS, ABS, MB). Reporting, strategy implementation, troubleshooting, and execution of material group strategies.
