Slitting Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting machines according to production specifications.
• Load and unload rolls of raw materials and finished goods.
• Adjust machine settings for speed, tension, and cut width based on material type.
• Monitor the slitting process to ensure consistent quality and proper dimensions.
• Perform quality checks on finished rolls to identify and correct defects.
• Label and package finished products according to customer or internal requirements.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of slitting equipment.
• Report any machine malfunctions, defects, or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Follow all safety and operational procedures.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience operating slitting machines or similar equipment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, measurements, and specifications.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physically fit – able to lift, stand, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed.
