Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented R&D Chemist to join our dynamic team
This role is pivotal in formulating and developing innovative skin care, cosmetic, and personal care products that align with client requirements, regulatory standards, and current market trends You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, regulatory, and production, to bring formulations from concept to commercialization

Key Responsibilities

Research, develop, and formulate new and innovative skin care, cosmetic, and personal care products
Improve and reformulate existing products based on customer feedback, cost optimization, or market trends Conduct stability and compatibility testing and maintain thorough documentation of all R&D processes Collaborate with raw material suppliers to evaluate new ingredients and technologies Ensure all formulations meet relevant national and international regulatory standards (eg FDA, BIS, EU) Troubleshoot formulation or production-related issues during scale-up or pilot batches Maintain up-to- knowledge of industry trends, ingredient innovations, and emerging technologies Support quality assurance and production teams during trial and commercial runs

Hard Skills

Strong knowledge of emulsion systems, surfactants, preservatives, actives, and fragrance compatibility
Experience with formulation software and lab equipment Understanding of GMP, ISO standards, and cosmetic regulations (India & Global) Knowledge of raw materials, INCI nomenclature, and ingredient efficacy/safety data

Soft Skills

Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset
Excellent communication and documentation skills Creative thinker with a problem-solving approach Team player with a collaborative and proactive attitude Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving environment

Education & Certifications

B
Sc /M Sc in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields Additional certifications in Cosmetic Formulation or Cosmetic Regulatory Affairs are a plus

Preferred Experience

2-5 years of hands-on experience in cosmetic or personal care R&D within a manufacturing or private label setup
Experience in developing clean, natural, or organic formulations is highly desirable
