Job Description

As a Skills Performance Consultant for Skills Taxonomy and Inferencing at bp, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of a company-wide comprehensive skill taxonomy. Your responsibilities will include: - Owning and managing bp's skills taxonomy, ensuring change governance and continuous improvement by curating the skills taxonomy model, collating data from across the business, and defining skills data governance and accountabilities. - Consulting and advising PC&C teams and the wider business on developing and using the master skills taxonomy data. - Maintaining a high standard of content in the taxonomy, classifying skills and editing with reference to the bp writing style guide. - Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, including migrating skills data to industry standard taxonomies or integrating new and emerging skills into bp solutions. You will also be involved in project work to integrate skills data across talent processes and embed it into core PC&C products and solutions by: - Partnering with PC&C services and solutions teams to integrate the bp skills taxonomy into core solutions and processes. - Collaborating with PC&C process owners to integrate skills data into core talent processes such as learning pathways, skills-based sourcing/hiring, and skills-based deployment. - Working with the wider Talent team and job catalogue data owners to enable the translation of jobs to skills for skills forecasting and skills gap analysis. To be successful in this role, you will need: - A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with additional certifications in project management being a plus. - 10 years of experience in HR, learning and development, workforce analytics, or similar roles focusing on data sets, skills taxonomies, and/or skills inference. Skills required for this role include skills taxonomy development, data analysis, visualization, skills inference, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and more. Technical expertise in skills mapping tools, HR technologies, and data analysis is crucial, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
