Site Supervisor

Workforce Management & Supervision:

• Directly supervise and motivate site laborers, skilled workers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and productive work.
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor progress to ensure work is completed on time and to the required quality.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to workers as needed.
• Manage attendance, discipline, and performance of the site workforce.

Execution & Coordination:

• Oversee and manage specific construction activities (e.g., foundation work, concreting, brickwork, plastering, finishing works, MEP rough-ins) as assigned.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, blueprints, and sketches to guide site work.
• Coordinate with the Site Engineer and other supervisors to ensure smooth workflow between different trades and activities.
• Troubleshoot minor on-site issues and escalate complex problems to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.

Quality Control:

• Ensure all work performed adheres to design specifications, quality standards, and relevant building codes (e.g., IS codes, NBC).
• Conduct regular visual inspections of ongoing work to identify and rectify defects or deviations promptly.
• Ensure correct materials are used as per specifications.
• Assist the Site Engineer in carrying out quality checks and documenting results.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

• Implement and enforce all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on site.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks (safety briefings) to educate workers on safe work practices.
• Ensure all workers are using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards on site; ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Report all incidents, accidents, or near-misses immediately to the Site Engineer/Manager.

Resource Management:

• Monitor the use of materials, plant, and equipment on site to minimize waste and ensure efficient utilization.
• Coordinate with the Site Engineer for timely ordering and delivery of materials.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage or loss.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain daily site diaries, recording work progress, manpower deployment, equipment usage, material consumption, and any critical issues.
• Report daily progress, challenges, and resource requirements to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining site records as required.

Client & Stakeholder Interaction (Limited):

• May interact with client representatives or inspectors on site under the guidance of the Site Engineer, addressing minor queries.
