Role Overview: You will be responsible for hands-on design, analysis, development, and troubleshooting of highly-distributed large-scale production systems and event-driven, cloud-based services. Your primary focus will be on Linux Administration, managing a fleet of Linux and Windows VMs as part of the application solutions. You will advocate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) practices within the organization. Your ownership will extend to reliability, uptime, system security, cost, operations, capacity, and performance analysis. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and reporting on service level objectives for various applications services, collaborating with business, technology teams, and product owners to establish key service level indicators. Supporting healthy software development practices, ensuring infrastructure automation repeatability, traceability, and transparency, and partnering with security engineers to proactively respond to new risks and vulnerabilities will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Hands-on design, analysis, development, and troubleshooting of highly-distributed large-scale production systems and event-driven, cloud-based services - Linux Administration, managing a fleet of Linux and Windows VMs as part of the application solutions - Advocating Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) practices within the organization - Ownership of reliability, uptime, system security, cost, operations, capacity, and performance analysis - Monitoring and reporting on service level objectives for various applications services - Collaborating with business, technology teams, and product owners to establish key service level indicators - Ensuring infrastructure automation repeatability, traceability, and transparency - Supporting on-call rotations for operational duties not addressed with automation - Developing plans and automation to respond to new risks and vulnerabilities - Monitoring standard processes to promote the long-term health and sustainability of operational development tasks Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in system administration, application development, infrastructure development, or related areas - 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as Javascript, Python, PHP, Go, Java, or Ruby - 3+ years of experience in reading, understanding, and writing code - 3+ years of mastery in infrastructure automation technologies such as Terraform, Code Deploy, Puppet, Ansible, Chef - 3+ years of expertise in container/container-fleet-orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, Openshift, AKS, EKS, Docker, Vagrant, etcd, zookeeper - 5+ years of Cloud and container-native Linux administration/build/management skills If you are looking to be part of a company that is reinventing itself and values constant evolution and reinvention, Wipro is the place for you.
