Site Reliability Engineer - L4

Role Overview: Wipro Limited is seeking a skilled individual to join their team as a System Administrator/Application Developer with expertise in infrastructure development. As part of this role, you will be responsible for hands-on design, analysis, development, and troubleshooting of highly-distributed large-scale production systems and event-driven, cloud-based services. Your primary focus will be on Linux Administration and managing a fleet of Linux and Windows VMs as part of the application solutions. You will also be involved in advocating Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) practices within the organization to ensure reliability, uptime, system security, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Design, analyze, develop, and troubleshoot highly-distributed large-scale production systems and cloud-based services - Manage Linux and Windows VMs for application solutions - Advocate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) practices - Ensure reliability, uptime, system security, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency - Monitor and report on service level objectives for applications services - Establish key service level indicators in collaboration with business and technology teams - Ensure repeatability, traceability, and transparency of infrastructure automation - Support on-call rotations for operational duties - Promote healthy software development practices and compliance with software development methodologies - Maintain monitoring technologies and processes to improve visibility of applications" performance and business metrics - Develop plans and automation to respond to new risks and vulnerabilities - Collaborate on standard processes to promote the long-term health and sustainability of operational development tasks Qualification Required: - 5+ years of experience in system administration, application development, or related areas - Proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, Python, PHP, Go, Java, or Ruby - Mastery of infrastructure automation technologies like Terraform, Code Deploy, Puppet, Ansible, Chef - Expertise in container/container-fleet-orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, Openshift, AKS, EKS, Docker, Vagrant, etcd, zookeeper - Cloud and container native Linux administration/build/management skills We invite you to be part of the modern Wipro, where reinvention is at the core of our business.
