Site Reliability Engineer III

As a Site Reliability Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms team, you will be at the center of a rapidly growing field in technology, driving innovation and modernizing complex and mission-critical systems. Your role involves solving broad business problems with simple solutions through code and cloud infrastructure. You will configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and associated infrastructure, independently improving existing solutions while collaborating with software engineers and teams. Your responsibilities will include guiding and assisting others in building appropriate designs, collaborating on deployment approaches using continuous integration and delivery pipelines, designing solutions to enhance availability, reliability, and scalability, implementing infrastructure and network configurations, and managing the production environment. Additionally, you will work with technical experts and stakeholders to resolve complex problems, utilize service level indicators to proactively resolve issues, and contribute ideas to solve business problems. To be successful in this role, you must have formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, at least 3 years of applied experience, proficiency in site reliability principles, familiarity with implementing site reliability practices, and knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, and .Net. You should also be experienced in observability tools, continuous integration and delivery tools, container orchestration, troubleshooting networking issues, and presenting information effectively in large collaborative teams. Preferred qualifications include the ability to initiate and implement ideas to solve business problems, a passion for learning new technologies, and a drive for innovative solutions.
