Site Reliability Engineer 2

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll use your advanced development and operations knowledge to identify and prioritize issues. Find universal solutions to common problems and mentor and support junior staff. Additionally, you will:

Design, implement, and maintain reliable cloud infrastructure using AWS services.

Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery.

Build automation for deployment, monitoring, scaling, and incident recovery.

Collaborate with development teams to embed observability and reliability best practices.

Identify and remediate performance bottlenecks, scaling challenges, and operational risks.

Utilize AI-based developer productivity tools to optimize workflows.

Participate in on-call rotation to ensure high service availability.

Contribute to architectural reviews, root cause analysis, and operational readiness.

Tackle complex development, automation and business process problems.

Champion Cvent standards and best practices.

Work with a new acquisition's DevOps team to cross-pollinate best practices, educate and close gaps in Cvent standards.

Give back by working on and contributing to Open-Source projects

What You Will Need for this Position

Graduate with experience

Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix Administration

3-5 years of professional experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.

Strong background in AWS (ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation or Terraform).

Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Java preferred).

Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration.

Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or equivalent).

Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch, etc.).

Experience leveraging AI or automation tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) for developer efficiency.

Working experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, couchbase, postgres, etc.

Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible or equivalent

Sound knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and security fundamentals.

Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
