Job Summary

The Site Engineer – Electrical is responsible for on-site execution, supervision, and coordination of LT/HT line shifting works, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, safety standards, quality requirements, and project schedules.

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise day-to-day execution of LT (Low Tension) and HT (High Tension) line shifting works.
• Ensure erection of poles, conductors, insulators, stay sets, transformers, and related accessories as per drawings and specifications.
• Monitor stringing, sagging, jointing, and dismantling of existing lines.

2. Technical Responsibilities

• Interpret electrical drawings, route plans, and BOQs.
• Ensure proper earthing, guarding, and clearance as per electrical standards.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of LT/HT lines.

3. Coordination & Liaison

• Coordinate with project manager, contractors, and linemen.
• Liaise with electricity board / DISCOM officials for shutdowns, inspections, and approvals.
• Coordinate with civil teams for foundation and pole erection works.

4. Safety & Quality Control

• Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety rules and PPE usage.
• Conduct toolbox talks and daily safety briefings.
• Ensure work quality and report non-conformities.

5. Material & Manpower Management

• Check availability of materials at site and raise indent requests.
• Monitor material usage and reduce wastage.
• Supervise site manpower and subcontractors.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site progress reports and work logs.
• Record measurements for billing and certification.
• Assist in preparation of completion and handover documents.

7. Issue Resolution

• Identify site-related technical or coordination issues and report to senior management.
• Support corrective actions to avoid project delays.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Experience

• 2–6 years of experience in LT/HT line shifting, distribution, or electrical infrastructure projects

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of LT/HT systems (11kV / 33kV)
• Electrical safety practices
• Site coordination & supervision
• Reading electrical drawings
• MS Office & basic reporting

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
