Role Overview

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, execution, and quality control of civil works related to Railway Overhead Electrification (OHE), Railway Bridges, and Buildings (B&B) construction. This includes foundation works, structural works, bridge construction supervision, and coordination with railway authorities to ensure timely and compliant project completion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Railway OHE Civil Works

• Supervise construction of OHE foundations, mast erection works, and trackside civil structures.
• Perform site surveys, layout marking, and verification of foundation designs.
• Ensure compliance with RDSO standards, Electrical Drawing (TED), and Railway specifications.
• Prepare drawings, BOQs, method statements, and progress documentation.

2. Railway Bridges (Minor & Major)

• Supervise construction of minor/major bridges, culverts, ROBs, RUBs, and retaining structures.
• Monitor shuttering, reinforcement, PCC, RCC works, and ensure quality of concrete and materials.
• Review structural drawings and coordinate with design teams for clarifications.
• Ensure proper execution of deep foundations, pile works, well foundations, and superstructure works.
• Conduct inspections with railway/consultant officials and assist in approvals.

3. General Civil Engineering Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor project activities to achieve targets within timelines.
• Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and labour teams for smooth execution.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and environmental norms at construction sites.
• Liaise with Railway officials (DFCC, CORE, RVNL, Construction, and Open Line) for inspections and compliance.
• Maintain quality assurance and quality control as per IS Codes and Railway requirements.
• Identify risks, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Experience in Railway OHE / RE / Bridges / B&B projects is mandatory

Key Requirements

• On-site work experience in Railway OHE / RE / Civil Infra projects.
• Willingness to work across project locations and travel as required.
• Understanding of safety standards and quality processes in railway projects.
