Silicon Validation Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in silicon validation methodologies, tools, and techniques, including hardware setups, and automation tools on emulation or Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) platforms.
• Experience debugging with JTAG debuggers.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
• Experience in bench level post silicon validation and debug.
• Experience with lab equipment (e.g., Oscilloscopes, DMM, Logic analyzers etc).
• Proficiency in hardware/software interface.
• Excellent debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with pre and post-silicon teams to develop, simulate, and validate targeted tests and provide documentation of the pre and post-silicon validation tests and ensure it is easy to use.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug failures (e.g., boards, software, manufacturing, design, thermal issues).
• Work with internal cross-functional teams, external silicon partners, and Intellectual Property (IP) vendors to functionally validate and parametrically characterize the silicon, including bare-metal, kernel, drivers, and real-time operating system (RTOS).
