Key Responsibilities:
- Custom Theme Development: Create custom Shopify themes to meet client requirements, including layout, design, and functionality enhancements.
- Third-Party Integrations: Integrate third-party apps and extensions to extend Shopify website capabilities.
- Website Optimization: Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and loading speed.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues and bugs related to Shopify theme functionality and app integrations.
- Collaboration: Work with designers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design elements and brand identity.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify's templating language)
- Experience with Shopify API and app development
- Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 plus years of experience in Shopify development
- Portfolio showcasing previous Shopify projects and customizations
