Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for monitoring order, space allocation, and vessels to ensure shipments can be shipped and delivered in a timely manner. Additionally, you will maintain partnerships and liaise with all logistics-related issues with various stakeholders, such as management, buyers, forwarders, suppliers, and factories in India and China. As the internal contact point for all logistics matters, you will also coach and share knowledge transfer with the sourcing and merchandising team. Your role will involve tracking and ensuring the preparation and submission of accurate documents with customers on time. Key Responsibilities: - Act as a liaison for all logistics-related issues between relevant departments in the head office, suppliers/factories on the Indian subcontinent - Manage the performance of forwarders and courier partners - Educate new suppliers on logistics processes and guide them on the supplier net system - Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery - Manage order information in the internal logistics system - Coordinate with internal and external departments and handle issues proactively - Monitor logistics issues and report to the team and customers in a timely manner - Verify and submit all required post-shipment documents to customers on time - Obtain necessary written approvals on costing promptly from concerned customers/teams - Monitor shipment and courier status - Coordinate for ocean and air shipments - Monitor FCL/LCL/Air Cargo/Courier shipments including processes, capacity, movement, and costing - Handle logistics issues in the pre-carriage process such as booking, documentation, certificate handling, space allocation, and on-time delivery - Communicate with internal departments, suppliers/factories/buyers, and forwarders to ensure all processes adhere to standard SOP - Provide regular updates on the India market, vessel, and port status to internal parties - Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth operations - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency - Use data analysis to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement - Utilize problem-solving skills and attention to detail effectively Qualifications Required: - Degree holder or above in Supply Chain Management, Transport and Logistics Management - Experience in the sourcing industry is an advantage - Minimum 5 years of relevant logistics experience - Good knowledge of trade declaration, air, ocean, shipping procedures, and customs - Fluent in spoken and written English - Hardworking and able to handle pressure - Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills - Open and polite communicator with internal and external customers and partners - A good team player, able to work independently, self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn more - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Role Overview: You will be responsible for monitoring order, space allocation, and vessels to ensure shipments can be shipped and delivered in a timely manner.
