Job Description
A restaurant shift manager supervises daily operations, staffs and trains employees, manages inventory and supplies, resolves customer complaints, and ensures customer satisfaction during their shift. Key responsibilities include delegating tasks, balancing the cash register, overseeing opening/closing procedures, maintaining food quality and cleanliness, and communicating important information between shifts.

Staff Management

Supervising and Training: Oversee staff performance, provide on-the-spot feedback, and train new employees on company procedures, safety, and customer service standards.

Delegating Tasks: Assign responsibilities to team members based on their skills to ensure efficient and accurate operations.

Staff Scheduling: Create and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage for restaurant operations.

Conflict Resolution: Mediate employee disputes and address interpersonal issues to maintain a safe and respectful work environment.

Operations & Administration

Opening & Closing: Manage the processes for opening and closing the restaurant when working the first or last shift of the day.

Inventory & Supplies: Monitor inventory levels, place food orders, and coordinate deliveries from suppliers to ensure adequate stock.

Financial Management: Balance the cash register, record sales, and monitor daily earnings and expenses.

Reporting: Prepare daily shift reports and communicate important information, such as outstanding tasks, to the next shift manager.

Customer Service

Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a positive and high-quality dining experience for all guests.

Complaint Resolution: Address customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.

Reservations & Events: Manage bookings and special arrangements for parties or meetings.

Quality & Compliance

Food & Service Quality: Monitor food quality, portion control, and cleanliness standards to ensure consistency.

Safety Standards: Ensure the restaurant adheres to all food safety and federal, state, and company guidelines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
