Role

About The Role

As a Shift Incharge in the toolroom, you will oversee daily operations to ensure efficient production and timely output. Your role will involve managing the workflow, optimizing tool usage, and maintaining high-quality standards. You will be the key point of contact for your team, addressing any operational challenges that may arise during your shift.

About The Team

You will work closely with a skilled team of machinists and toolmakers dedicated to producing precision tools and components. Collaboration and effective communication will be essential for achieving production goals. The team values continuous improvement and innovation, fostering a supportive environment for professional development.

You Are Responsible For

Supervising and coordinating daily activities in the toolroom to ensure production targets are met.
Monitoring equipment performance and implementing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Ensuring all safety protocols are followed and promoting a safe working environment.
Training and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and efficiency.
Reporting production metrics and addressing any discrepancies in output or quality.

To succeed in this role – you should have the following:

Proven experience in a toolroom environment, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and techniques.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Good problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Effective communication skills to maintain clear interactions with team members and other departments.
