SHIFT INCHARGE

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Execute daily production plans as per machine availability and priority components.
• Allocate manpower across machines (CNC, VMC, Lathe, Grinding Machine) to meet shift targets.
• Monitor machine operations and productivity during the shift.
• Ensure correct job setups and fixture/tool readiness to reduce downtime.
• Ensure operators follow machining process sheets and inspection checkpoints.
• Coordinate with quality team for in-process inspection and handle any deviations.
• Record daily production, rework, rejections, and breakdowns in shift reports.
• Conduct shift handover with outgoing/incoming supervisors with proper updates.
• Supervise CNC/VMC/ operators for cycle time, job accuracy, and output consistency.
• Provide technical assistance for basic troubleshooting, offsets, and tool wear monitoring.
• Coordinate with planning, tool room, maintenance, and quality teams for real-time support.
• Escalate unresolved machine issues or manpower shortages to higher management.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and proper PPE usage by all personnel.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and implement 5S practices on the shop floor.

Qualification required:

• ITI / Diploma / B.E in Mechanical / Production Engineering
• 3-10 years in machine shop supervision, especially with CNC/VMC
• Experience in pump and foundry industry is preferred
• Hands-on knowledge of machining processes, job setups, and cycle time optimization
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and process sheets
• Understanding of basic tool changes, offsets, and machining defect control
• Team leadership and manpower handling in a shift
• Strong communication and coordination ability
• Result-oriented, disciplined, and safety-conscious

• Salary : Rs.25000/- to Rs.40000/- per month gross*
