We have been mandated by a large conglomerate into stainless steel Manufacturing for the below mentioned role.

Position Name :Shift Incharge - Ferro Alloys - Production

Location : Palghar(Mumbai)

Qualification : Diploma/ B .Tech-Metallurgy

Experience : 5+ Years

Job Purpose:

To supervise and control the overall operations of the Ferro Alloys Plant during the assigned shift, ensuring safe production, process efficiency, quality compliance, and timely reporting of any operational deviations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day plant operations (Furnace, Raw Material Feeding, Tap Hole Management, Casting, Crushing & Screening, etc.) during the shift.
• Monitor and control furnace parameters (temperature, load, power consumption, slag condition, etc.) to ensure optimal ferro alloys production.
• Ensure proper shift-wise raw material feeding as per the charge mix plan and furnace load requirement.
• Maintain coordination with the electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation teams for smooth running of equipment and timely resolution of breakdowns.
• Conduct shift-wise review meetings and prepare daily shift production and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental guidelines during operations.
• Ensure quality control measures are followed as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor manpower deployment and maintain discipline and productivity of the shift team.
• Attend emergency plant situations and coordinate corrective actions.
• Identify and escalate any process deviations, equipment abnormalities, or safety issues promptly.
• Record production parameters and maintain logbooks and ERP entries as required.
