Job Summary

We are looking for experienced

Shift Engineers

to join our high-performance team in Jamnagar for our new solar wafering plant. You will play a key role in managing wafering processes like

Cropping, Grinding, Inspection, Gluing

, ensuring smooth production and process excellence.

The selected candidate will manage the operations in one of the subsections (Shaping, Sawing, WGR), lead a team, ensure operational safety, quality, and throughput, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ideal for candidates with

CNC machining, grinding, cutting, or EDM wire cutting

experience.

Key Responsibilities
Safety

Ensure zero Lost Time Cases (LTC) and eliminate unsafe behaviors.
Lead shop floor safety adherence and conduct regular safety rounds and audits.

Production

Lead start-up of the section with a focus on safety, quality, and zero equipment downtime.
Achieve production output as per plan and maintain inventory accuracy.
Ensure data recording and reporting via MES & ERP systems.
Maintain 5S standards and execute production documentation.

Quality

Maintain operations as per documented SOPs and quality specs.
Ensure process control within tolerance limits and eliminate contamination.
Analyze data to troubleshoot and support quality improvements.

Cost

Eliminate losses and improve yield across equipment and processes.

Team Management

Train and develop team members on technical know-how.
Schedule shifts, assign duties, and support team coaching.
Lead the team towards operational excellence and process ownership.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in CNC machining, grinding, cutting plant operations.
Hands-on with MES systems and cutting force optimization.
Strong leadership skills, particularly in plant start-up environments.
Ability to handle teams of 25+ personnel.
Comfortable working in high-load environments with ownership mindset.

Skills Required

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001.
Advantageous: Minitab, Six Sigma, SPC, Kaizen, TQM.
Good communication skills in English, Hindi (Gujarati is a plus).
