1. Client Acquisition Identify potential clients (corporate houses, government bodies, NGOs, schools, etc.). Cold calling, emailing, and visiting prospects to pitch event services. Create customized presentations and proposals for new clients. 2. Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients. Upsell and cross-sell services for future events. Ensure client satisfaction before, during, and after the event. 3. Revenue Generation Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets. Negotiate budgets, contracts, and commercial terms. Close deals efficiently to bring confirmed business. 4. Market Research & Lead Generation Keep track of market trends and upcoming events. Research new business opportunities and competitor activities. Maintain a database of leads and follow-up regularly. 5. Coordination with Internal Teams Work closely with the client servicing, production, creative, and operations teams. Ensure that the client's brief is properly understood and executed. Act as a bridge between the client and internal team throughout the event cycle. 6. Proposal Writing & Pitching Create detailed event proposals, budgets, and timelines. Participate in pitch meetings and tender processes. 7. Brand Representation Represent the company at networking events, expos, and industry meets. Develop the company’s visibility and goodwill in the market. 8. Reporting & Documentation Maintain records of all communications and deal progress. Prepare regular business development reports for management. Job Summary: The Business Development Head will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, expanding market reach, and building long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company goals. Identify target markets, sectors (corporate, government, wedding, exhibitions, etc.), and growth opportunities. Prepare annual business development plans, forecasts, and budgets. 2. Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Identify, target, and engage potential clients through cold calling, networking, and digital platforms. Convert leads into long-term business relationships. Prepare and present tailored proposals and presentations to clients. 3. Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients, partners, and vendors. Act as the face of the company in industry events, expos, and client meetings. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business. 4. Team Leadership: Build, train, and manage the business development and sales team. Set KPIs, monitor performance, and guide the team to achieve revenue targets. Required Skills and Qualifications: MBA or graduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Proven track record of achieving revenue targets. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Strong network in corporate, government, and institutional sectors is a plus. Experience in bidding/tendering for government/corporate events is highly desirable. Knowledge of event lifecycle and operations is a strong advantage.
