ServiceNow SecOps Developer

As a ServiceNow SecOps Developer specializing in Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Response (VR) modules, you will be responsible for configuring, developing, and enhancing ServiceNow Security Operations. Your role involves translating requirements into technical tasks, implementing workflows, forms, notifications, and automation, and supporting data integrations with external security tools like Qualys and Tenable. Your primary responsibilities include participating in requirement-gathering sessions, conducting unit and system testing, supporting go-live activities, and contributing to technical documentation and knowledge base articles. You will also need to stay updated on ServiceNow platform releases and best practices while collaborating with security, IT, and operations teams. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3-5 years of experience in ServiceNow development or administration, a strong understanding of ServiceNow SecOps fundamentals, scripting skills (JavaScript, Glide, etc.), and exposure to IT security concepts. Additionally, having solid analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, along with a willingness to learn, participate in code reviews, and adhere to development standards is essential. Preferred qualifications include relevant SecOps certifications, experience with integrating third-party security products into ServiceNow, knowledge of Agile project methodology and ITIL processes, and the ability to deliver clear technical documentation. An interest in pursuing ServiceNow certifications is also beneficial. Key competencies for this role include advanced configuration and customization of SecOps (SIR & VR), familiarity with ServiceNow platform features like forms, lists, and access controls, expertise in integrating external security tools and data sources, developing automated response processes, conducting testing and optimization, and fostering collaboration through teamwork and effective communication.
