Role & responsibilities

Experience : 8 - 12 years (5+ in Servicenow Integration)

Location : Pune/ Bangalore/ Indore/ Kolkata

Shift : EST 6 PM to 5 PM

Role Overview

The ServiceNow Integration Consultant will lead the design, build, testing, and deployment of integrations between ServiceNow and SCM/Procurement ecosystems (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle SCM, NetSuite, Workday). The role combines hands-on development with solutioning responsibilitiesensuring secure, scalable, and reliable data exchange across procurement, vendor, catalog, sourcing, fulfillment, and incident/service processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Integration Solutioning & Delivery

Design and implement integrations using ServiceNow IntegrationHub, Spokes (e.g., Coupa, SAP, Workday, Azure), Flow Designer, Orchestration, MID Server, and custom REST/SOAP interfaces.

Build event-driven integrations via webhooks, message queues, and scheduled flows; handle batch and real-time use cases.

Lead data modeling, mapping, and transformation (JSON/XML); manage reference data (vendors, catalog items, cost centers, GL accounts).

Implement authentication & security (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API keys), role-based access control, PII masking, and audit trails.

SCM & Procurement Use Cases

Integrate ServiceNow with procurement systems to raise/approve Purchase Requests, sync Purchase Orders, vendor onboarding, catalog updates, GRN/3-way match events, and invoice exceptions.

Automate supplier risk workflows, vendor performance tickets, contract renewals, and supplier onboarding compliance within ServiceNow.

Align ServiceNow Request, Change, Incident, CMDB, and Asset processes with supply chain operations (e.g., stock-outs, shipment delays triggering incidents or tasks).

Quality, Reliability & Compliance

Establish observability: logging, correlation IDs, retries/backoff, dead-letter handling, and error notification (OpsGenie/PagerDuty/ServiceNow Alerts).

Define and monitor SLAs for integration throughput/latency; optimize performance (pagination, server-side filtering, async processing).

Drive unit, integration, end-to-end testing; mock external APIs; create test data & harnesses.

Ensure compliance with ITIL, SOX, GDPR, and organizational data governance policies.

Lifecycle & Collaboration

Document integration designs, API contracts, sequence/data flow diagrams, runbooks, and support procedures.

Own release management, CI/CD (App Repo, Git, Azure DevOps/Jenkins), versioning, and environment promotion.

Collaborate with SCM, Finance, Procurement, Security, and IT Ops stakeholders; translate business needs into technical solutions.

Mentor developers; contribute to integration standards, patterns, and reusable components.

Required Skills & Experience

ServiceNow: IntegrationHub, Spokes, Flow Designer, Orchestration, MID Server, Scripted REST APIs, Business Rules, ACLs, CMDB relationships.

APIs & Data: REST/SOAP, webhooks, JSON/XML, data mapping, transformations, pagination, error handling, idempotency.

SCM Domain: Procurement lifecycle (PR/PO), vendor management, catalog & pricing, invoicing, supplier risk/compliance, inventory/fulfillment fundamentals.

Platforms (hands-on integration exposure):

Coupa (PR/PO, suppliers, invoices, approvals)

SAP Ariba / SAP S/4HANA (procurement, materials, vendor master)

Oracle SCM/ERP, NetSuite, Workday (finance/suppliers), Salesforce (vendor cases/contracts)

Security & Compliance: OAuth2, SSO/SAML, certificates, encryption at rest/in transit, audit, PII handling.

DevOps & SDLC: CI/CD with Git/Azure DevOps/Jenkins; branching, code review, automated testing; Agile/Scrum delivery.

Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, solution documentation, cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), iPaaS (MuleSoft, Boomi), ETL/ELT tools.

Performance tuning for high-volume integrations; bulk data strategies (staging tables, delta loads).

Knowledge of ITOM/Discovery, CMDB normalization, and asset lifecycle aligned with supply chain.

Exposure to ServiceNow Procurement Service Management, Supplier Lifecycle Management, or Vendor Risk modules (if licensed).

Education & Certifications:

ServiceNow CSA (required), CAD, IntegrationHub specialization (preferred).

Relevant vendor certifications (e.g., Coupa integration, SAP, Oracle, Workday) are advantageous.

ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
