Position Summary
The ServiceNow Implementation Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, and deploying ServiceNow solutions across the enterprise. This role works closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and process owners to implement ITSM/ITOM/ITBM/HRSD modules, integrate systems, automate workflows, and ensure platform best practices.Key Responsibilities1. Implementation & ConfigurationImplement and configure ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Incident, Problem, Change, Catalog, HRSD, CSM, or SecOps.Customize ServiceNow using Flows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, and Notifications.Develop and enhance Service Catalog items and Record Producers.Configure and maintain CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.2. Solution DesignTranslate business requirements into ServiceNow technical designs.Build scalable, reusable solutions following platform best practices.Participate in solution architecture reviews and technical design sessions.3. Integration & AutomationDevelop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, IntegrationHub, and Workflows.Automate processes using Flow Designer and scripted automation.Support SSO/SAML/LDAP integrations with enterprise identity systems.4. Platform AdministrationManage ACLs, roles, and security policies.Perform instance upgrades, cloning, patching, and maintenance tasks.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.5. Testing, Deployment & DocumentationWrite unit test cases and support UAT cycles.Package and migrate update sets across environments.Create documentation including technical specs, process flows, and training materials.6. Collaboration & Stakeholder ManagementWork with business analysts, process owners, and cross-functional IT teams.Communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Provide guidance and mentoring to junior ServiceNow developers.Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical SkillsStrong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, ServiceNow scripting.Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITSM (mandatory).Experience with at least one advanced module: ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, HRSD, SecOps, or CSM.Knowledge of REST/SOAP integrations, JSON, XML.Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.Experience with ServiceNow platform architecture and data structures.Professional SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently and in collaborative teams.Experience working in Agile environments.Preferred QualificationsServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) required or strongly preferred.ServiceNow CIS certifications in ITSM/ITOM/HRSD/Discovery.37 years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions.Experience in enterprise environments (banking, insurance, healthcare, IT services, etc.).migrating GRC, policy, compliance, issues management, asset management, and third-party risk management functions to ServiceNow.The goal is to consolidate systems, improve integration, and enhance workflows across risk, compliance, IT, and business units.Key Topics & DecisionsGRC/IRM: Migrate risk, control, and regulatory data from ProcessUnity and PolicyTech to ServiceNow, supporting complex relationships, attestation workflows, and legacy data import.Regulatory Management: Explore Unified Compliance Framework (UCF) and other integrations for regulatory content automation; currently, regulatory updates are handled manually.Issues Management: Move intake and remediation workflows from ProcessUnity to ServiceNow, including evidence management and validation processes.Policies & Procedures: Replace PolicyTech with ServiceNow for document lifecycle, redlining, versioning, and annual review workflows; improve integration with O365 and change management.Letters Management: Integrate Salesforce and SailPoint for user provisioning and workflow; enable versioning, tagging, regulatory mapping, and block content management.Control Testing: Centralize evidence storage, automate manual control attestations, and leverage templates for testing.Asset & CMDB: Automate asset lifecycle, procurement, and attestation processes; integrate with SHI and Tanium; prioritize service mapping and Tier 0/1 application inventory.Third-Party Risk: Migrate vendor assessments and questionnaires to ServiceNow, enable vendor portal, and streamline reassessment workflows.
