Job Description

Service Transition Lead

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Manage end-to-end Service Transition for IT projects into BAU support
Ensure ITIL best practices are embedded across Change & Transition processes
Oversee Service Design activities, addressing non-functional requirements (NFRs)
Provide governance and assurance for Change Management
Collaborate with SIAM partners and 3rd party vendors on service delivery
Attend Technical Design Reviews to validate support models and requirements
Minimize risks of unplanned service interruptions during transitions
Track and manage OAT activities for service readiness
Input into Service Review Boards to address customer satisfaction
Ensure service catalogues are updated with new/changed services
Prepare and maintain transition documentation and service assurance deliverables
Monitor and control costs, effort, and timelines for service transitions
Structure and prioritize workload based on business benefit and risk
Escalate risks, issues, or costs proactively to the Service Transition Manager
Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders
Work closely with Project Delivery and Business Change teams
Implement secure, scalable, and supportable service models
Support continuous improvement in transition and change processes
Utilize Service Management tools effectively for reporting and governance
Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder influencing skills
