Service Specialist,VDS
Areas of responsibility
- Check data readiness, quality improvement, and master data management activities.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ERP and CRM master data (Item, Business Partner, Installed Base).
- Ensure smooth data migration for rollouts and M&A projects in coordination with rollout teams.
- Support business transformation initiatives through effective data management.
- Perform data cleansing, imports, updates, and maintenance across ERP and CRM systems, including simulation and testing.
- Manage and improve data quality using Valmet tools and MDG Portal.
- Coordinate with IT experts to extract and transfer data from legacy systems (ERP, CRM, PLM, etc.).
- Define, develop and put to use MDG Portal for master data structure creation and maintenance.
- Work with business representatives to collect, validate, and migrate BP (Business Partner) and Commercial Item data.
- Support integration and issue resolution across systems (CRM, LN, Salesforce).
- Collaborate with stakeholders from Business and IT teams for smooth execution.
- Liaise between the audit team and VDS team lead for internal audits.
- Support
PDM
item data maintenance and link with ERP. - Support to develop and maintain performance dashboards.
Basic requirements of the position
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in MDM, Data Governance, Data Operations, and Shared Services.
- Strong Business knowledge preferably has worked in collaboration with Business like ERP implementation/roll out various CRM and ITSM tools and applications.
- Experience in data migration, quality management, and regulatory compliance.
- Technical skills to develop and maintain tools as necessary of operations.
- Strong knowledge of
ERP
(LN,preferred)
and CRM
system (CoMPasss and SFDC)
and master data management. - Experience with
item, supplier, and warehouse, business partner and installedbase , Capital equipment,
master data. - Knowledge of SQL and proficiency in Microsoft tools like Excel and Power point.
- Familiar with
ServiceNow
, MDG Portal
, and data import/export processes. - ITSM basic level qualification is mandatory.
- Good understanding of supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing data flows.
- Prior experience of medium / big size MNC's would be added advantage.
