About the Role- Were seeking a dynamic Engineering Team Lead with 6-10 years of experience who can oversee endtoend development of both backend services and frontend interfaces. Your role will be to guide a crossfunctional team in creating robust APIs and engaging user experiences using Python (FastAPI), React/Next.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Agentic AI. Youll collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and userfriendly solutions. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership- Backend & APIs Design and implement RESTful services using Python (FastAPI) , with a focus on scalability, performance optimization, and clean code practices. Architect databases and optimize data models across MongoDB and PostgreSQL , ensuring high availability and efficient querying. Build asynchronous and eventdriven workflows for longrunning tasks (e.g., email notifications, data processing) using Python frameworks and schedulers. Frontend & User Interfaces Lead the development of responsive, dynamic UIs using React , Next.js , and modern frontend tooling (Tailwind CSS, React Query). Drive designsystem adoption by creating reusable components to maintain visual consistency, reduce development time, and improve user experience. Cloud & DevOps Deploy, monitor, and scale services on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS) using containerization ( Docker ) and CI/CD pipelines - GITHUB. Automate testing, code quality checks, and deployment to ensure reliability and rapid delivery. AI & Integration Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate agentic AI solutions (Anthropic API) into backend workflows and user-facing features. Promote best practices for data privacy, model integration, and error handling in AIdriven applications. Team & Project Management- Mentor engineers across frontend and backend specialties, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Translate product requirements into technical roadmaps, manage sprint planning, and ensure timely delivery of milestones. Conduct proofofconcepts to evaluate new technologies and recommend adoption strategies. Qualifications- Experience & Education 6-8 years of professional experience building scalable backend systems and modern web applications, including leadership of crossfunctional teams. Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Technical Proficiency Strong command of Python , JavaScript/TypeScript , and frameworks like FastAPI , and Django . Proficient with React , Next.js , and UI design best practices, including performance tuning and state management with Redux. Experience with database design (SQL and NoSQL) and cloud deployment on AWS , including familiarity with CI/CD tools and Docker. Exposure to AI integration and asynchronous task management. Prior experience in building design systems or reusable component libraries. Soft Skills Excellent communication, problemsolving, and teambuilding skills. A track record of mentoring engineers and collaborating with product/design teams. An innovative mindset, always exploring modern technologies to enhance product capabilities. Nice to Have- Familiarity with additional frontend technologies - Vue.js. Contributions to opensource projects or personal portfolios showcasing fullstack work (e.g., collaborative whiteboard apps).
