Position Overview

Now Assist

Skills (MUST HAVE)

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
• Advanced scripting skills in JavaScript and Glide Script
• Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews
• Strong problem-solving and solution design capabilities
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance
• Familiarity with ServiceNows Integration Hub and Flow Designer
• Experience of the following ServiceNow areas: ITSM, HR, CMDB, Discovery, Now Assist, Integrations, Mobile Apps, Service Portal, Flow designer, Employee Service Center, virtual agent
• Working knowledge of AngularJS, HTML, and REST APIs

Key Responsibilities

• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Design and Development: Create, test, and maintain software applications, ensuring they are scalable, robust, and efficient.
• Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality products.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards and best practices.
• Troubleshooting:Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and software quality.
  

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience in software development, with a strong portfolio of successful projects. Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in a programming language JavaScript. Familiarity with ServiceNow glide API.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical andnon-technical stakeholders.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a collaborative and positive attitude.
  

Skills (nice to have)

• Experience developing Now Assist skills (GenAI/AI Search/AI Skill Builder)
• ITIL Foundations+ certification
• ServiceNow certifications: CSA, CAD, or CIS
• Exposure to AJAX, JSON, and CSS
