ServiceNow Developer

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Development & Configuration (ITSM)

• Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Customize workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and notifications.
• Develop and maintain Service Catalog items, Service Portals, and knowledge articles.
• Configure and enhance ITSM modules:

  Incident, Service Request, Problem, Change Management, CMDB

  (APM knowledge is a plus).
• Implement and manage integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize ServiceNow applications for performance.
• Implement security, access control, and compliance best practices.

HR Service Delivery (HRSD)

• Configure HRSD Case Management, Employee Service Center, and HR Knowledge Base.
• Design and modify HR case workflows, templates, dashboards, and reports.
• Develop HR Service Catalog items and record producers.
• Set up Agent Workspaces and HR technical views for improved usability.
• Configure data security, RBAC, and encryption policies for HR data.
• Develop and maintain APIs/web services for HR data exchange with external systems.
• Deploy configurations and enhancements from development to production environments.

General / Cross-Functional

• Participate in

  Agile sprints, daily stand-ups, and project planning sessions

  .
• Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and ServiceNow best practices.
• Provide

  root cause analysis

  and resolution for issues.
• Prepare technical documentation and conduct user training sessions as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience

  .
• Strong expertise in

  ServiceNow HRSD and ITSM modules

  .
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS (for portal/UI customization).
• Experience with

  ServiceNow integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, web services)

  .
• Knowledge of security (RBAC, encryption, ACLs) and best practices in ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with CMDB and APM is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
