Service Engineer - Clinical Diagnostics

As a Service Engineer in the field of Clinical Diagnostics at DSS Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Molecular Diagnostics & Histopathology Instruments. Your primary responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various diagnostic equipment. Your day-to-day tasks will involve installing, configuring, and calibrating molecular diagnostics and histopathology equipment at customer sites to guarantee optimal performance and adherence to operational standards. Additionally, you will conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Furthermore, you will be required to provide both on-site and remote technical support to laboratory staff, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise. Educating customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment, including conducting training sessions for laboratory personnel, will also be a key aspect of your role. Collaboration with the sales and Application team will be essential as you work closely to provide feedback on product performance and suggest improvements. Your experience in the installation and maintenance of clinical diagnostic instruments such as RT-PCR machines and automated sample extraction systems will be critical. Additionally, your knowledge of handling Pathology Products like Grossing Stations, Embedding Systems, and ImmunoHistoChemistry is highly desirable. To excel in this role, you should possess a BE/B-Tech in Biomedical/Mechanical/Electronics. However, Diploma Holders with substantial experience in the Diagnostics Instrument field will also be considered. An ideal candidate would have 2 to 5 years of experience, preferably from the Life Science/Biotech industry. Moreover, you should exhibit positive behavior, a customer-centric approach, the ability to perform under pressure, strong teamwork skills, and effective problem-solving abilities. Extensive travel may be required as part of this role.
