Job Description

Role Overview

Steam Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Perform
installation, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance
of steam systems, boilers, and accessories.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to
steam traps, valves, condensate recovery systems, and heat exchangers
.
Conduct
steam audits
and identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvement.
Calibrate and test
pressure gauges, control valves, and temperature instruments
.
Prepare
service reports, documentation, and maintenance logs
.
Provide
technical support and training
to customer plant operators and technicians.
Ensure adherence to
safety standards and statutory compliance
during site work.
Collaborate with the sales and design teams for project execution and customer support.
Manage spare parts planning and field service scheduling.

Required Skills & Experience

38 years of experience in
steam system maintenance or boiler service
.
Strong knowledge of
steam generation, distribution, and condensate recovery systems
.
Hands-on experience in
steam traps, pressure reducing valves (PRV), control valves, flow meters
, and
heat exchangers
.
Familiar with
piping layouts, P&ID drawings
, and
instrumentation basics
.
Good understanding of
safety practices and preventive maintenance
.
Willingness to travel extensively to client sites.
Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
