Service Advisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring their needs are met while providing exceptional service. You will utilize your mechanical knowledge and experience to assist customers with vehicle maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics, while also promoting additional services through upselling.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
• Provide estimates for repairs and services, including auto estimating and service writing.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, recommended services, and repair timelines.
• Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
• Collaborate with service technicians to ensure accurate diagnostics and repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions, including cash handling.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by following up on services rendered and addressing any concerns.
• Stay updated on automotive repair trends, technologies, and dealership practices.

Experience

• Previous dealership experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with auto service management processes.
• Experience in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge is essential.
• Background in vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake repair, transmission work, alignment, suspension, tire service, shocks & struts, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with clients.
• Sales experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
