Server Administrator

As a Server Administrator at Mehsana, Becharaji Gujarat, with 4+ years of experience, you will be responsible for: - Installing, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter). - Performing VM provisioning, migration (vMotion), cloning, snapshot management, and template management. - Monitoring system performance, availability, and capacity; implementing tuning as needed. - Managing VMware clusters, HA/DRS configurations, and resource pools. - Maintaining system patching and updates for virtual hosts and guest OS. - Handling backup and disaster recovery processes using tools like Veeam or similar. - Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and virtualization issues. - Collaborating with storage, network, and application teams to support infrastructure needs. - Documenting configurations, changes, and operational procedures. Your required skillset includes: - Strong experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter. - Hands-on experience with VMware tools like vMotion, DRS, HA, etc. - Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage and how it integrates with VMware. - Understanding of Windows/Linux server administration. - Experience with VMware PowerCLI or other scripting for automation is a plus. - Familiarity with backup tools like Veeam, Commvault, or similar. - Solid troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. - Good understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, virtual switches, etc.) - VMware certification (VCP) is a strong advantage. Preferred qualifications for this role are: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) or higher. - Experience in cloud environments like VMware on AWS, Azure Stack HCI, etc. (nice to have).
