Description
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable and reliable Linux-based infrastructure leveraging infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools. Your role will involve automating system provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using tools like Saltstack. Additionally, you will be building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins. It will be essential for you to implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms. Proficiency in Hashicorp Vault will also be required. Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions for optimization and scalability will be part of your responsibilities. You will also ensure the security and compliance of Linux systems and infrastructure through automation, patching, and vulnerability management. Troubleshooting complex system and application issues across the infrastructure will be another key aspect of your role. Implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery strategies with a focus on automation will be crucial. You will drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency. Documenting infrastructure, automation scripts, and deployment processes will also be a part of your responsibilities. Participating in on-call rotation with an emphasis on proactive problem resolution and automation to prevent recurrence will be required. Staying current with the latest DevOps tools, methodologies, and Linux technologies is essential. Managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP) utilizing their Linux-based services and automation capabilities will be part of your role. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience), along with 2 years of experience as a Linux Administrator in a DevOps environment. Relevant certifications such as RHCSA and RHCE are preferred. Experience with specific cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and their automation services is necessary. A deep understanding of Linux operating system internals, administration, and security best practices is required. Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python preferred) for automation is essential. Significant experience with at least one configuration management tool (SaltStack) is required. Hands-on experience with building and managing CI/CD pipelines is necessary. A solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is crucial. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Grafana) is preferred. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills are necessary. Strong documentation skills are also required.
