Minimum Experience: 3 Years We are hiring a Server Administrator on immediate basis to join our growing IT firm.The employee should have hands-on experience and complete knowledge about running and configuring local servers setup in LINUX environment. Role of the Server Admin is critical and is required to look after successful and smooth operation of an organisation. The said candidate should be having in depth expertise with the system s platforms (i.e. Linux, Windows, Ubuntu and so on) as well as be familiar with areas including networking, backup, data restoration, cyber security, database operation, and more but not limited to server management, maintenance and support smooth running environment with minimal complaints. A Server Administrator is responsible for the local servers of an organisation as well as the cloud servers. This individual ensures on a daily basis that they are running efficiently by performing upgrading and maintenance tasks on hardware and software, resolving technical problems, overseeing their activity levels, ensuring server security, and developing new system structures as and when necessary. Responsibilities: While Server Administrators work primarily with servers, they also manage various other types of computing equipment that makes up part of the network. Server administrators install, configure, and maintain various types of hardware and software, which often involves creating user accounts, carrying out backup and recovery functions, and monitoring the performance of servers at all times. They need to configure, manage, and implement operating systems. Administrators are in charge of backups and retrieval of resources. Administrators work with the IT team to design and deploy secure server processes. They take part in the design, architecture, implementation, and maintenance of technology projects. Server Administrators often work with other members in an organisation to evaluate their technology needs, administer the network environment, set up workstations, create a database of the organisation s IT policies and document them and help train staff on the use of new technologies.
