Senior Windows Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Windows Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure

team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft Active Directory,

Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune, along with a strong background in

designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-scale Windows environments. This

role requires both technical leadership and hands-on engineering to ensure secure,

scalable, and resilient systems across our global infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-scale Windows Server environments,

Active Directory, and Group Policy.

• Lead the integration and administration of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD),

ensuring seamless hybrid identity and access management.

• Develop, implement, and optimize Intune policies for device enrollment,

configuration, application deployment, and compliance.

• Provide technical leadership on projects, guiding junior engineers and cross-

functional teams.

• Manage security baselines and enforce compliance with organizational and

industry standards.

• Implement automation and scripting (PowerShell preferred) to streamline

administration, monitoring, and reporting.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues across Active Directory, Entra

ID, Intune, and Windows infrastructure.

• Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to ensure

infrastructure integrity and performance.

• Maintain disaster recovery and high availability strategies for Windows-

based services.

• Stay current with Microsoft technologies, providing recommendations to improve

the organizations IT environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Windows systems engineering and

administration.

• Proven expertise in Active Directory design, management, and

troubleshooting (including multi-domain and hybrid environments).

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including federation,

conditional access, and identity governance.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune for modern endpoint management.

• Proficiency with Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, PKI, and

authentication protocols (Kerberos, SAML, OAuth).

• Skilled in PowerShell scripting and automation.

• Experience with Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) in enterprise

environments.

• Familiarity with security best practices, Zero Trust principles, and

compliance frameworks.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; ability to collaborate with

technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access

Administrator Associate, Endpoint Administrator, or Solutions Expert

(MCSE) are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and integration with Entra ID.

• Knowledge of cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure and on-

premises connectivity.

• Exposure to enterprise mobility, endpoint security, and patch management

strategies.

• Background in incident response, auditing, and compliance (ISO, NIST, CIS).
