Senior Vice President, Head of Fund Accounting

As a Senior Vice President at Oaktree, you will be leading the Fund Accounting team in Hyderabad, overseeing the maintenance of books and records for various funds, managing a team of fund accountants, and providing oversight of third-party service providers. Your role will involve transitioning production activities to the Hyderabad team and ensuring timely delivery of financial reports and analyses to stakeholders globally. Your key responsibilities will include: - Overseeing the production and delivery of financial statements, reports, and dashboards for Oaktree's funds - Supervising the monthly closing process for funds, including pricing, reconciling portfolio data, and calculating fees - Reviewing quarterly and annual financial statements and managing partner-level reporting - Creating bespoke analyses in response to ad hoc requests from investors - Ensuring compliance with financial reporting controls and staying updated on accounting pronouncements - Collaborating with organizational partners to advance Fund Accounting deliverables - Leading projects and continuous process improvements - Hiring, developing, and managing staff in alignment with Oaktree Fund Accounting standards - Monitoring team performance and driving vision-setting in alignment with Oaktree's mission Qualifications required for this role: - 17+ years of experience in asset management, investment banking, or financial services - 8+ years of experience in managing operations and personnel - Deep knowledge of alternative investments, fund launches, complex structures, and hedged feeders - Extensive experience with Geneva and/or Geneva World Investor accounting systems - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word - Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, additional certifications like Chartered Accountant or CFA/MBA finance are a plus Your personal attributes should include: - Ability to motivate and inspire team members - Proven ability to prioritize work across a team and manage resources effectively - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Passion for improving systems and processes Oaktree is an equal opportunity employer.
