Senior Utility Person

Key Responsibilities:

1. Utility Systems Management

• Oversee operation and maintenance of all utility systems:
  
• Boilers and steam systems
  
• Chillers and cooling towers
  
• Compressed air systems
  
• HVAC systems
  
• Power distribution (HT/LT panels, DG sets)
  
• Water treatment (RO, softeners)
  
• Effluent & sewage treatment plants (ETP/STP)
  
• Ensure uninterrupted supply to the plant within required parameters (pressure, temperature, purity, etc.)
  

2. Operations & Maintenance

• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
  
• Minimize equipment downtime and energy losses
  
• Root cause analysis and corrective actions for breakdowns
  

3. Energy Management

• Monitor and control energy consumption (electricity, gas, water)
  
• Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability projects
  
• Drive ISO 50001 (if applicable)
  

4. Project Execution

• Lead utility-related projects (e.g., capacity expansion, new installations)
  
• Vendor selection, contract management, and commissioning
  
• Coordination with consultants and EPC contractors
  

5. Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure statutory compliance with safety, environmental, and energy regulations
  
• Liaison with government bodies (Pollution Control Board, Electrical Inspectorate, etc.)
  
• Maintain all documentation, permits, and records
  

6. Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and operators
  
• Manpower planning, shift management, and performance monitoring
  

7. Budgeting & Cost Control

• Prepare and manage utility OPEX and CAPEX budgets
  
• Optimize operating costs through efficient practices
