Senior User Researcher

As a User Researcher at Cvent, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for conducting evaluative and generative research to develop a deep understanding of user needs and drive product innovation. Your role will involve planning and executing various research methodologies to support product development and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address research questions effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and conduct evaluative research methods such as card sort, tree testing, usability evaluations, and heuristics evaluations. - Assist in generative research efforts utilizing techniques like contextual inquiry, ethnography, and data mining. - Synthesize research findings and effectively communicate them to cross-functional teams to define and measure success. - Develop testable hypotheses and utilize research insights to drive product innovation. - Collaborate with design, analytics, product management, customer support, marketing, and sales teams to address research queries. - Independently and collaboratively plan, execute, and analyze research across different product areas. - Conduct qualitative data analysis, support coding efforts, and perform statistical analyses. - Support survey design, execution, secondary research scans, and competitive analysis. - Work within a small team to enhance the User Research practice effectively. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in user experience, design, research, business, or related fields. - 5+ years of experience in conducting user research within a UX team for software/web-based products. - Experience in digital, preferably in external-facing event, hospitality, retail, or financial applications/services. - Proficient knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices. - Hands-on experience with qualitative research methods such as 1:1 sessions, usability studies, and focus groups. - Professional experience in quantitative survey programming and analysis is advantageous. - Experience in UX research for Meeting/Event Planners, Attendees software, Mobile app, or web development is beneficial. - Ability to manage and recruit for a usability lab, support product globalization, and establish product/software baseline measurement system.,
