Senior Technologist

As a Senior Technologist specializing in Reproductive Biology and Animal Genomics, you will play a crucial role in leading embryo transfer programs for cattle and coordinating the OPU-IVF workflow. Your responsibilities will include managing selection, breeding strategies, and genetic improvement plans to enhance the overall productivity of dairy farms. You must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in cattle breeding, embryo transfer, dairy farm R&D, or animal genomics to qualify for this position. Your key responsibilities will involve overseeing the implementation of genomics tools such as SNP and genomic selection data, mentoring technical teams at the dairy farm and plant, and acting as a liaison between plant operations in Modasa and the research headquarters in Ahmedabad. You will be responsible for ensuring quality control, adherence to SOPs related to animal welfare and biosecurity, conducting data analysis, generating reports, and supporting audits or FSSAI compliance. Additionally, you will collaborate with the R&D team on genetic enhancement and productivity optimization projects. To excel in this role, you should have hands-on experience with embryo transfer (ET) and IVF protocols, a deep understanding of cattle reproductology and farm practices, familiarity with genomic technologies, and proficiency in statistical analysis. Strong documentation and coordination skills are essential, along with excellent communication abilities in English, Gujarati, and/or Hindi to effectively interact with stakeholders across both locations. Your work setup will involve a split between the research office in Ahmedabad and the Modasa farm/plant, requiring regular travel and periodic on-site supervision.
