 Senior Teamcenter Administrator
Key Responsibilities
Teamcenter System Administration: Lead the day-to-day administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Teamcenter environment (e.g., Teamcenter Unified, Active Workspace), including server management, database connectivity, and environment health checks.Installation & Upgrades: Plan, execute, and manage Teamcenter installations, migrations, upgrades, and patch deployments across various environments (DEV, QA, PROD), ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity. Integration with TecnomatixData Model & Configuration: Expertly configure and manage the Teamcenter data model using Business Modeler IDE (BMIDE), including item types, datasets, relations, forms, statuses, and workflow templates, aligning them with business requirements.User & Security Management: Administer users, groups, roles, and access control lists (ACLs) to ensure proper security and data access permissions within Teamcenter.Workflow & Customization Support: Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex Teamcenter workflows and provide support for existing customizations and integrations.Performance Tuning & Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies for Teamcenter servers, databases, and client configurations to enhance system responsiveness.Troubleshooting & Support: Act as a subject matter expert for complex Teamcenter issues, providing advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution for production problems and user escalations. Ex TecnomatixIntegration Management: Support and troubleshoot integrations between Teamcenter and other enterprise systems like CAD tools (NX, Solid Edge, CATIA, Creo), ERP (SAP, Oracle), Tecnomatix  and manufacturing systems.Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures for the Teamcenter environment.Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices for Teamcenter administration and support.Required Skills & QualificationsExtensive Teamcenter Experience: Deep hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter Unified Architecture (TCUA) administration, configuration, and support.BMIDE Expertise: Strong proficiency in Business Modeler IDE (BMIDE) for data model customization, deployment, and management.Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of database concepts with experience supporting Teamcenter on databases like Oracle or SQL Server, including basic query and troubleshooting skills.Operating Systems: Proficiency in administering Teamcenter on Windows Server and/or Linux/Unix operating systems.Scripting: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Shell scripting) for automation of administration tasks.Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills to diagnose and resolve complex system and application issues.Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with users, technical teams, and management.PLM Concepts: Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) principles and processes.Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have)Experience with Teamcenter Active Workspace (AW) configuration and customization.Knowledge of Teamcenter integrations with common CAD applications (NX, Solid Edge, CATIA, Creo, Tecnomatix).Familiarity with ITIL best practices for service management.Certifications in Teamcenter administration or relevant technologies.EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
