Senior Tax Associate, Transaction Tax Compliance

Key Responsibilities: - Create a positive team experience by being proactive on tasks. - Provide process related guidance and/or instructions to junior staff / new hires. - Identify and facilitate the training needs on existing and new tasks for smooth knowledge transfer. - Work on return preparation and assist preparers during compliance. Ensure timely delivery and quality standards are met. - Responsible for driving internal and external debrief calls and coordinate with Tax Specialist by providing data for dashboard. - Responsible for delivering tasks assigned within Turn Around Time by meeting expected quality standards. - Prepares medium to complex sales and use tax returns using compliance software. - Assist and work on data manipulation, e-Filing, and compliance preparations. - Reconcile sales tax returns to source data files. - Assist specialists and Team leads to prepare and maintain TCS process documents. - Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times. - Develop advanced communication and presentation skills. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with compliance, e-Filing, data issues, as they arise. - Maintain quality control methods to identify errors and improve accuracy. - Prepares reports as per the requirements from supervisor. Qualification Required: - Masters or bachelors degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Business preferred. - 2-4 years of experience in US Taxation. - Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office. - Good communication skills and excellent writing skills are required. - Intermediate to advance skillset to manipulate data using Microsoft Excel and PDF applications. - Expertise in MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe application. - Willingness to take additional responsibility and perform other duties as assigned.
